Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you buy a licence and use Taorluath, and how we use it.
1. What we collect
- Email address, which you provide at purchase and enter again to activate the Software.
- Licence details: your activation key, tier, activation status, and expiration date.
The Software itself stores your scores locally on your own computer. We do not collect the music you write.
2. How we use it
- To deliver your activation key and confirm your purchase.
- To validate activation by matching your email and key.
- To enforce our licence terms, including the one-activation and distribution rules.
- To provide support when you contact us.
3. Where it is stored
Licence records are stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore). A small
local file on your computer called license.json records your
activation so the Software can confirm your licence on launch. Modifying
this file has no effect on whether access to our software is permitted or
not, and editing it will not allow you to bypass any licencing restrictions.
Additionally, editing this file will break your copy of the software.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us operate (such as Firebase) and only as needed to run the service or comply with the law.
5. Retention
We keep licence records for as long as the licence is valid and as needed for support, accounting, and legal obligations.
6. Your choices
You can request a copy or deletion of the personal data associated with your licence by contacting us. Deleting your licence record will deactivate the associated key.
7. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time; the date above reflects the latest version.
8. Contact
